If you know me, you know that I’m a bit of a dork. You also know that I love art, design, and creating pretty things. “Ummmm what does that have to do with a Mailchimp vs Flodesk email marketing blog post?” you might ask…. welp, hang tight.

It was a quiet Friday night, and I was enjoying a glass of wine and chatting with a friend. Hours went by, and by 11pm she heard the click-click-clicking of my Macbook and asked what I was doing. I excitedly said “creating email workflows!!!” to which she replied, “uhhhhhh…..what?!”
I had been sitting there for 3 hours creating the most beautiful, fun, personality infused emails I’ve ever seen (just sayin’). And it was FAST and SUPER EASY and they were sooooo ON BRAND. How was I doing this, you ask? Simple – Flodesk.
Pre-Flodesk days….
While I used Mailchimp for several years, I was never EXCITED to focus on email marketing. Y’know?!
It’s still fairly easy to use, free (which is always a bonus!), and customizable – but it just never had that WOW factor.
Mailchimp is great to use if you’re just starting out or aren’t hyper focused on building an email list. If, however, you’re trying to keep your brand consistent and save time, then you might end up like me (mega frustrated). Cue: Flodesk – beautiful, easy to use, and makes you look like you have a design team on standby. But before I get into my favourite parts of Flodesk, here are some pros + cons of Mailchimp:
Pros:
Cons:
Mailchimp was “ok” while I was using it. Not amazing, but not terrible either.
So, I stayed on the Mailchimp-coaster for another few trips around the park because it seemed like the easiest, cheapest option. Until one fateful day…
ENTER FLODESK.
Already know about Flodesk and wanna try it out? Here’s 30 days free and then 50% off using my code!
It’s beautiful. Everything is streamlined. It’s so easy to customize and the templates are beautifully, artfully designed and (seemingly) endless. They’re even categorized into which steps you should be focusing on.
I haven’t even started with my pros yet. Without further ado!
Cons:
Pros:
I can honestly say, I will use Flodesk forever! I made back the price of the annual fee with just 3 emails sent out to my list. Also, the workflows are SO great! I’ve taken email marketing courses, and Flodesk has everything set up properly, so it not only looks good, but is also designed to help you make money, honey.
