Mont-Tremblant is an area of Quebec with a world-renowned ski resort, rolling Eastern Canada mountains, and tons to do for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Tiff + Alex are definitely adventurous souls – they love to dirt bike, rock climb, and travel with their son. We actually first met when I took their family photos in Tremblant at the top of the mountain. This luxe, colourful, spring-inspired Tremblant helicopter elopement day was such a blast!
The morning started off getting ready at LD Cabin, a luxury rental designed by Leclair Decor in the small mountain town of La Conception. Tiff + Alex got ready, did a super sweet first look, and then we rushed off to hop on an amazing helicopter adventure through the Laurentians.
Tiff’s veil was embroidered by the super talented Amy Scarlett, and her All Who Wander gown from Sinders Bridal was unexpected and totally stunning. Everything from their attire to florals to charcuterie picnic at the end of the day screamed “spring”.
A few tips if you’re thinking of having your own elopement in Mont-Tremblant:
Look at planning your trip in the off season. This shoot was in late April, which is a shoulder season in Mont-Tremblant. That means that it’s just at the tail end of the busy ski season, and before the summer rush starts. While the scenery isn’t necessarily at it’s most lush, the shoulder seasons are a great time to plan your visit for a few reasons:
- no long lines for restaurants, shops, or the gondola
- no bugs!
- sunny warm weather (where you can walk outside with a light jacket, or hit the slopes!)
- the village and neighbouring areas are relatively quiet
Think of some activities that you’d like to include in your day! When you opt for a smaller or non-traditional wedding day, it can open up possibilities for other adventures (like a helicopter flight to say your vows, for example!).
