If you’ve seen my work, it’s no secret that I love a good outdoor adventure! Sometimes, though, it’s just not appealing to run away to a mountaintop to elope just the two of you. If you love the outdoors and adventure, I’ve narrowed down all the options to bring you the best wedding venues near Ottawa.

If you’re planning your wedding, finding a venue and photographer are usually the first items on the to do list.

Searching for the perfect wedding venue near Ottawa?

A few wedding planning tips:

• Narrow down your guest list by figuring out what’s most important to you. You may have a tight knit group of friends or a large family that you want to include in your wedding day.

• Figure out how “adventurous” you are as a couple. Do you like camping in the summer? Going on road trips? How outdoorsy are you? I personally love adventurous small weddings and elopements. But you need to decide how comfortable you want your wedding day to be – for you and any guests. It will help narrow down your list.

• Think about what other wedding day elements you’d like to include. Want an airstream trailer on site? Acoustic music? Patio lights strung between trees or a beautiful ceremony arch? Think about some other elements that speak to you, and write them down. When you go through your venue list, you’ll be able to tick back and see if the venue will work for you.

The Best Centrally Located Wedding Venues in Ottawa

1. Parlour

If you’re having an intimate wedding and you want something a bit offbeat, this is an awesome option! It’s central to downtown so easy for your guests, and you can host everyone in style while enjoying delish food in a midcentury modern aesthetic!

2. Orange Art Gallery

If you’re looking for a centrally located, character filled venue option in Ottawa, this is it! With 12 foot ceilings and huge windows, this 1920s historical building is a great spot to host your intimate wedding or elopement.

3. Zibi

This gorgeous glass-ceilinged 1900s building is only 15 minutes from Downtown Ottawa. If you love exposed brick and a more urban vibe that still has plenty of space, this is a super accessible option that looks amazing!

The Best Wedding Venues Near Ottawa

1. The Brighthouse Farm

If you’re into retro mid-century decor, wraparound porches, and sunny golden fields, this place is perfect! You can take a virtual tour on their site to check it out! It’s located in Prince Edward County, about 2.5 hours from Ottawa.

2. Adelina

Adelina is located in Gatineau, Quebec, and is about an hour drive from Ottawa. It has stunning outdoor spaces and a beautiful loft for dining.

3. Mackenzie King Estate

Open from May til October, this estate is available for small outdoor wedding ceremonies. There is a paid parking lot for guests and a TON of options for where to hold your ceremony (just keep in mind you’ll have to host your reception elsewhere!). 4. National Park of Mont-Tremblant

If you want to have a more adventurous small wedding or elopement, Mont-Tremblant is a beautiful location! It’s only 2 hours from Ottawa, has plenty of hiking trails with beautiful views. The village is picturesque and has great restaurants, pubs, and boutiques. There are great Airbnbs to stay at as well as plenty of cute condos with mountain views.

5. Le Peaches & Cream

Located in Low, Quebec about an hour from Ottawa, this gorgeous venue is perfect for an intimate wedding. Beautiful peaked windows let in rays of light, and there are so many gorgeous spots to hold your ceremony and chill, have a drink, and enjoy time with your guests.

6. Evermore

This is perfect if you want an outdoor wedding, but still want the convenience of a beautiful getting ready space, an open air cocktail hour, and service throughout the day. Evermore is about 45 minutes west of downtown Ottawa, this is a beautiful venue! You can check out a romantic fall wedding for some inspo!

7. Aquatopia

The next best thing to having a tropical destination wedding! Surrounded by exotic plants within the greenhouse, you’ll love the intimate space – and bonus that it’s a short drive from downtown Ottawa.

8. Host your own backyard or cottage wedding!

I’m a huge advocate for doing your wedding day your way. If having a chill, outdoor ceremony followed by a BBQ, campfire, and vintage airstream open-bar trailer and lounge sounds like your jam, then go for it! You can also stay at a beautiful A-frame cabin in the woods and get married under the stars. (I can help recommend great places in the area!) There are tons of amazing options to host your guests and still have a fun outdoor wedding day.
