If you love chunky knit sweaters, cute mugs full of pumpkin spice lattes, and having an excuse to go to bed by 9pm cause it’s dark out already (let’s be real) – then you probably love fall. It’s one of the busiest seasons in the wedding industry, and there are several good reasons for that. This moody wedding photography was not only fun, it was badass. Keep scrolling to find out why.
Why? Cause after about 3 solid hours of thunderous rain on the day of, we ended up with a beautiful, warm, sunny day. Amanda from The Gathering Event Co. had to wring out the cheesecloth that was on the table outside, but once everything dried it looked amazing!
When you think “shipping containers”, you usually envision them on a dock surrounded by boats and people in coveralls. Not these bad boys. They had the nicest shade of paint and a whole bough of beautiful, locally sourced greens and plants to fancy them up.
Always creative, Avi Scribbles Art Co. put together a sunrise-and-mountain-inspired invitation suite. It looked awesome with the fall florals that Amanda tied with black satin ribbon.
Sofiya’s elopement dresses were:
When you feel like YOU, you’ll have way more fun and the entire day will be representative of you as a couple.
If there’s a certain wedding day tradition you love, include it! If there are 10 more that you hate, scrap em!
If you feel like you’re awkward in photos (cue: everybody), find something to DO. Swing in a hammock instead of just standing side by side. Chat and whisper to each other and move around. Humans don’t normally stand still and smile, so it’s no wonder you feel awkward if that’s what you’re doing.
Serious Halloween vibes and I LOVE IT. If you’re getting married in October, it’s totally fine to make your wedding Halloweeny AF.
I’m not saying don’t spend a lot on your wedding dress. Just think outside the box and go for something different.
The only other thing any badass couples need? Some custom, hand-lettered jackets from Avi Scribbles Art Co. If you’re planning a fall elopement or wedding and know you might get chilly, this is a great way to keep warm AND stay stylish.
The ultimate getaway vehicle – a Jeep Wrangler. You can pack up and immediately start on your cross country road trip / honeymoon.
